Any idea what that is from?  Stand alone project or part of a satellite?  Reaction wheels like that are used to maintain orientation in satellites.

Cool, it's a prototype for a more advanced reaction wheel setup.  This really only started being possible within the last 10 years, with the advancements in small devices that are very sensitive to changes in acceleration.  It's what makes those multi-prop RC helicopters possible.

Ooh, I saw one of those equipped with a camera whizzing around at a festival/concert thing I went to last night in Dallas at the fair grounds. After I saw it, I realized what a better setup that would be at such events, rather than the normal huge crane setup.
