I actually don't mind spiders like I used to. I think my least favorite class of animals is insects, and spiders EAT insects. So they have that going for them.
I completely agree. I saw a spider in a high corner of my hallway. He/she had a carcass of one of those gangly mosquito things in the web. I'm like "Good on you, spider. Thanks!" and went about my business. About 3 weeks later, I see it had set up shop in my room near my bed.
Now, while some may argue that to be an optimum spot for pest control, I cannot risk relocation to my face while I sleep sometime in the future. So unfortunately, at that point, all house privileges were revoked and the spider was peacefully relocated outside. Free to pursue a life of religious fulfillment.
