Problem with Player/Karate Kid III

Thought I would give the rifftrax player another go after failing with a Twilight movie.
I pop the Karate Kid DVD in, open the file in the player and get a message to put the something" (I think it was sync or mp3)file in the right file (or words to that effect). I have no idea what that means. I did download the file from this site that says it particularly for the rifftrax file (the zip file) and that won't work either. Neither of these files will start up. I either get the the message I mentioned or the movie starts up in my Windows DVD player without the riffs.

I'm really not good with computers so detailed instructions would be helpful. I'm a little stunned at how hard this is.

You need both of these files in a folder somewhere:

KarateKid3_Rifftrax.sync
KarateKid3_Rifftrax.mp3

Put the DVD in your drive, if it starts to auto play close whatever player is playing it.

Start the riffplayer.

Go to File: Open.

Find the KarateKid3_Rifftrax.mp3 file and open it.

That should do it, the DVD should play and the riff mp3 should kick in after about 20 seconds.
