Quote
“Mr. Trololo” has sung his final note.

Little-known Russian crooner Eduard Khil, who gained international fame when a 1976 clip of him performing on Soviet television went viral in 2010, has died, The Associated Press reported on Monday.

 He was 77.

I have never heard of this guy.

Also, I'm shocked to see that Richard Dawson has died. I swear to god I thought he's been dead for like fifteen years already.

I though Dawson died a year or two ago, so when I saw all the posts online saying RIP, my thoughts went straight to "Wait, didn't he already die!?"  ....  Maybe it was Gene Rayburn who died a while back.
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

I'd never even heard of this meme until today (though I get a strange Katamari Damacy vibe listening to that video...). I never was really plugged in to the bigger viral videos that everyone else seems to know about.

I knew who this bloke was and that's sad but at least he had some revival of interest in his singing at the end.

Count me in the number of people who thought Dawson had gone to join his maths genius bombshell missus a few years ago too.

I actually knew that Dawson wasn't dead until Saturday.  But that was only because, a few weeks ago, I thought he was dead.  I thought he had committed suicide, but then I looked it up on Wikipedia and it turned out that was a different host of Family Feud.

I've really been getting into Family Feud lately.  Steve Harvey is a great host, and it's pretty funny for a game show.  It's fun and easy to play along.

Aw, hell. I always liked that guy, partly because of the befuddlement that he had over the sudden increase of fame he had late in his life.

I've often times played that song when I've needed to cheer up, because I find his happiness so infectious.  Listening to it just now made me sad.

That meme was like if a Monty Python sketch actually happened.

Shame that he died though.

This guy is cool. He does metal covers of all kinds of stuff, and he takes requests from viewers. He did a great version of the Game of Thrones theme.

The multiple guitar tracks allow for some awesome harmonies.
