I'll miss David Arnold on this, but hopefully Thomas Newman steps up to the plate with his score. Movie looks promising.

Aside from the 007 thing at the end, this teaser really does not make me think James Bond.

I hope your basis for what James Bond is extends to anything BUT the Pierce Brosnan mess.

Point of order! He was in one of the best Bonds (Goldeneye), one of the underrated Bonds (TWINE), and one of the average-but-enjoyable Bonds (Tomorrow Never Dies). He just gets way too much crap because he was also in one of the worst Bonds (you know the one0.

Just sayin', is all.

What an odd thing to say.

I'm actually a Connery and Moore fan. But it's not about the actors. The lack of Bond music and attitude.

I don't mind HIM as Bond, per se... Just all of the movies he was in.  They were all just one slushy car commercial after another, veering further and further from any bit of sensibility or believability with each one.  The plots were worse by far than any of the prior films... and by the time "Die Another Day" puddled its way onto the screen, it made Austin Powers look serious and prestigious.

Just sayin'...

Yeah I was using the actor as a frame of reference for the "era" more than "actor" .... I didn't think much of the music of the Brosnan era was very good, really.  Actually, I could vomit just thinking of that damn Madonna song.

Brosnan himself I thought was actually quite good at getting the look, attitude and general suave-ness of the character.  He was actually my first look into the Bond franchise, so it's kinda weird that I despise those movies so much.  I think I just feel the 90's ruined a lot of good things, and Bond movies is one of them.

I'm a Lazenby fan, myself... Although Craig has proved himself to me over the past 2 films.

I think it's pushing it to degrade them to car commercials, since that's sort of what a lot of the series was about (and also because Goldeneye actually didn't feature a car). Of course, when all is said and done, my favorite Bond is Moore, and his movies got several steps over the Cartoonishly Silly line as the years went by.

I will give a respectful chuckle at the Lazenby remark (and in all seriousness, his entry actually had one of the most heartbreaking moments of the entire franchise, so good on it).

I just hope Lazenby fired his agent.  He's worse than Nicolas Cage's agent as far as agents go!

And yeah, I will admit my bitchiness may just come down to my pure hatred of the "let's see how big our explosions can get" movies of the 90's... but considering the last taste that span of Bond films left in my mouth was Die Another Day, I can only taste bitter.

That effing ice castle with the car driving down an ice ramp it as it melts from the huge laser cannon from space... Have I mentioned I loathe that movie?!?!

I liked Casino Royale a lot.  It was different, but it still felt at its core like a Bond movie - just a new, refreshing take on one.

Quantum of Solace barely even felt like a movie, period, much less a Bond movie.

Hopefully, this one will be better than Quantum.  The title sounds like the name of a Transformer, though.
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

Keep in mind Sam Mendes directed, it was written by John Logan, and shot by Roger Deakins.
