Why? It was/is a very popular show and movies that have never been on dvd. I get asked about them all the time at work. I am just glad they are going to release them to retail at the same time they are putting out Time-Life sets.  When Time-Life did the Bionic man they sold them exclusively for a couple years before season 1 was available in stores.

I tried to like Power Rangers back in the day. I really did. Either I was just a year or two too old, or the rapid-fire plot points frustrated my then-developing writer's brain.

Yeah, I was way more of a VR Troopers fan myself (even though it was basically Power Rangers with a different name).  Brad Hawkins was basically my first crush on a TV star.

It's all on Netflix anyways... (I should know, I've been marathonning it all)  ...so I don't need to buy the huge box set.

But I *WILL* admit gladly that I've been enjoying the show far more than I ever did back when it first aired.  It's fun stuff!!

Also, I was glad to find out that the guys who played Bulk and Skull are still best friends in real life.  One is a director and the other a college professor too.
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

In a surprising move by the writers, those two actually get a lot of developmnet.  It would have been so easy to just leave them as the generic comic relief.

I have a feeling the actor who played Bulk becoming one of the directors of the show helped a lot...  but yeah, there were even a few spots mid-series that had the 2 of them either saving the day or helping in an unexpected way.  In one episode, a baby was left alone when the father was kidnapped, and it made me happy that Bulk/Skull's first instinct was to take care of the kid.  It's a small thing, but development-wise is quite good writing.
