Unreleased episode downloads
MSTJedi:
Okay, so apparently DAP has gone AWOL. Does anyone know where a guy can get downloads of MST3K episodes not available by Rhino or Shout? I'm sure all of them are available on YouTube or Google Video, but I'd like to have an actual file on my hard drive. I have an extension for Chrome that lets me download YouTube video, but a lot of the episodes there are horrible quality. Torrent searches are getting me nowhere as well. Any ideas?
I used to have all the DAP avi files, but deleted them once they made DVDs. Now a lot of my DVDs are scratched and near unplayable, so I decided keeping files really is the best way to go.
I just want a file that doesn't look like this:

I ordered the entire 11 seasons available on disc and then backed them up to hard drives just for this reason..
I used DVD Shrink to rip the DVD to the hard drive..
If they are real bad and can't be ripped, You may wind up having to buy what you need here..

The tracker site is still up.

Well that sucks. I finally (as in 2 weeks ago) decided to start re-burning all my crappy poorly converted unreleased episodes (yes, I double dip the hell out of officially released episodes, don't worry) with better conversion and menus. I've done up thru season 3.
I could easily work off my old versions, but the whole point is that I didn't understand good video conversion back then... Does anyone know why the site (not the tracker, but the main site) was removed?
I'm just happy I was able to get KTMA done already, so I at least have the best quality of those around. The rest I can just cross my fingers and hope for official releases of which with and by for prepositions.
[edit] I forgot to add the "...if the tracker site is pulled too..." part. Don't hit.[/edit]

I am pretty sure I have all of the known circulated episodes already. Not sure about the quality, but sometimes I find a lesser quality to add to the charm. But that is just me.
I also have 1st generation VHS recordings of a few Season 2 episodes from when they originally aired. Not sure what episodes though. Found them in a stack of VHS tapes my old landlord was throwing out. He was the one who recorded them. Unfortunately, other than the MST3K tapes, there wasn't really anything else of interest. Lots of recordings of Cartoon Network, I think, from that same era.
Next time I go through my tapes, I will see if I can find them and take a closer look at them to see if anything interesting is on them. Stuff like commercials or bumpers for MST3K that may have only aired with the new episodes.
I don't care about making DVDs of any of the stuff I have. I have a dedicated 2TB drive with all of that stuff on it. I use it sort of like a video jukebox hooked up to my TV. Sometimes I just load up the entire media folder and let it play on random. Sort of like having my own TV station, but one that only plays stuff I like. Got it full of not just MST3K and Rifftrax, but my favorite TV shows, music videos, concert videos, stand up, movies. All sorts of stuff.
And of course, I do have back ups of everything.
