Hey I got a fun idea for a Rifftrax Live show feature or DvD.

Well any way I think it would be fun.

The guys have done short that range from 22 years old to about 70 and a lot of those shorts started kids.  I think it would be fun to at one of the live shows track down one or two of the people who were in these shorts and give them a chance to riff the short they were in and maybe ask them a few questions about what it was like to work on the set of one of these shorts when they were a kid.

Anyone else like this idea?

Like I said, a short that EVERYBODY knows.

Otherwise, a good portion of the audience wouldn't care.

I am pretty sure everyone has seen Drugs are like that.  Also why does it have to be one everyone knows? They will be showing the short when they riff it so everyone will see it.

I just got around to seeing Drugs Are Like That about a month ago.  It took me about a year just to get the Rifftrax for DVD's I already owned, and I'm just now getting into the VOD side of things.  I'm thinking that, if I want to continue to enjoy Rifftrax going forward, I'll have to start getting the VODs, though.  The "riffing popular movies" model seems to be going by the wayside.

That said, D.A.L.T. was as good of a short as anything they did on MST3K.  (Although "Money Talks" is still my favorite short of all time.)

I think that may kind of be my fault.  All the friends I have gotten hooked on Rifftrax are not the kind of people who want to go to the trouble of syncing a track while watching with an MP3 play or Reauther so they only buy the VODs.  Sorry:(

I like this idea...  A short interview with an actor/writer/director from some of these oddball films/shorts could make a great opening or epilogue, too.
