The Return of Oh So Many Classic Adventure Game Creators
Pak-Man:
Now we can add Lori and Corey Cole, creators of the Quest for Glory series, to the list of returners!
I just listened to a podcast interview (Which you can listen to here: http://guysfromandromeda.com/category/blog ) and it sounds like this one will be more RPG than adventure game, though there will be elements of both.
I loved the Quest for Glory games and can't wait to see what they have cooked up.
EDIT TO ADD: And with that, I can't think of any big names in Adventure gaming who haven't made their big comeback. (Except Roberta Williams, but she's retired.)
SJP:
Facebook has Odd Manor, which I played briefly before realizing it was, essentially, the same sort of stuff as Farmville in terms of endless clean-up and maintenance, which I've decided not to get involved in. But it was designed by the son of Ken and Roberta...Chris, I think his name is? So, technically not a comeback, but the family is still in the game industry.

Hahaha! I was just dropping in to make sure that someone had dropped Tex Murphy's name in this thread :) I'm a huge fan of the games and am really thrilled to know that they're making a new one.
TellTale Games has a ton of great point/click adventure games, for those interested. Until recently, they were about the only place you could find such things other than homebrew games (AGS and Wintermute driven). In fact, it was the lengthy wait between episodes of The Walking Dead Game that finally prompted me to get off my lazy butt and make a game or two of my own. Right now I'm working on a point/click adventure based on the 1968 version of Night of the Living Dead, and a cheesy arcade game based on "the worst movie ever made", Plan 9 From Outer Space.
Now, if only they'd remake Woodruff & The Schnibble... that was a great game :)

On a semirelated note, now Guybrush Threepwood is owned by the same megacorp as the ride that partially inspired him and that ride's movie franchise that he partially inspired, so that's something.
