SJP:
Hell, seems like Kickstarter's the way to go to make adventure games...hmm...

Say, anybody here good with art?  And programming?  And good at raising massive amounts of cash?    ;)

Sideswipe:

I still have the Monkey Island games on my laptop and Space Quest were a childhood escape

On a different genre, Love if they would reboot Wing Commander

Ah hem hem.

Well, technically not a reboot, but at least there's no Matthew Lillard to be seen...and DRM free.

I love those games, but I personally think it would be hard to renew interest in the series in this day and age...not that I wouldn't be all over them if they did, but there was a time when the "in-cockpit space sim" game was all the rage (WC, Tie Fighter, X-Wing, etc.) that seems to have strangely gone out of style.  Closest thing I can think of lately is KOTOR 1's turret sequence, that wasn't even flying the ship.

Good lord, I apparently grew up in the golden age of gaming and didn't realize it at the time.  Lousy time and its ravages.   ;)

Pak-Man:
Well a couple months ago, everyone thought the Adventure Game was out of style. Now, a couple million pledged dollars later, the industry is questioning what they thought they knew.

Maybe if some of these kickstarters take off (As it were) Lucasarts will consider giving us a new X-Wing...
