Ooo, I've been meaning to watch La Jetee.  Have to sit down with it later.

12 Monkeys was low on my list, but it is a damned good movie.  That's all I really got to say about that.

All 3 on my list! (I think)

Another three I really dig (although I really, really need to rewatch and revalidate 12 Monkeys), though none of them made the cut for my list. Which could be considered weird for Army of Darkness, but as much as I like that movie, I always side with Evil Dead II when picking a favorite of the series.

Two things -

There will 6 films entries today.  I want to get to the halfway point before having a small break (probably only a day) to present the Supplemental LOC.  I'm sure reading fans will love the wall of text I am currently preparing, which won't be copy-and-paste at all, so facts are out of the window!

I hear ya.  I still love Army of Darkness (lots), but it feels a bit more like the best possible episode of one of Sam Riami's myth-based TV series (Hercules and Xena) while Evil Dead II is simply bloody brilliance.  It takes a special kind of genius to remake your splatter-fest horror movie as a comedy.  I used to like Army of Darkness more, but over time I changed sides.  Still, Army of Darkness is still something I'd watch all the way through if I catch it on TV.

Looking forward to it.

It was the last day of school in 1976, a time they'd never forget... if only they could remember.

#28 - Dazed and Confused

(92 Points) 6 of 32 Lists - Highest Ranking - #1 Mrs. Dick Courier

Plot Summary - It is the last day of school in a small town high school in Texas in 1976. Grade unforgettable freshmen, and everyone is trying to get stoned, drunk, or severance, even the football players to sign an undertaking not.

Release Date - September 24th 1993

Domestic Gross - $7,993,039

Trivia fact! On Thursday 7 October 2004, former high school classmates of Linklater filed a lawsuit against Universal Studios saying that the director did not get their permission to use their likenesses and surnames and now suffer from ridicule. The three men are Bobby Wooderson, Andy Slater and Richard Floyd. The three men still live in Huntsville, Texas where according to the lawsuit "we had fun in high school." The lawsuit was eventually dismissed due to the statute of limitations having expired.   And that's a terrible fucking poster.

Yes!  Number 16 on my list!  I really love how much this movie looks and feels like it was made in the '70s.  I remember when kids dressed like this and listened to this music.  Really one of my all time faves, not just from the '90s.

I just watched 12 Monkeys yesterday for the first time. It's odd. Not sure how I felt about it.

I love Dazed, Army of Darkness and especially Reservoir Dogs.

Is it sticking with you?  Do you keep thinking about it?  I love it when a movie does that to me.

12 Monkeys was also on my list at #24.  Brad Pitt shines in this, although he was given a really good role to play.

I forgot about Trainspotting.  I used a wikipedia list of 90's movies that was horribly incomplete.

I didn't make a list for this one... knew it would have been more work than fun... and my first draft would have been 8 movies that actually came out in the 2000s.... and 5 that actually came out in the 80s... then I would have been cursing at all the ones that I forgot as the final compiled list was announced... but yea... anyways...

Cool as Ice is truly fucking magnificent. Not in an ironic way, but as legitimate entertainment. I was in high school when it came out, everybody knew the Vanilla Ice fad had run it's course... and everybody knew this was going to be a glorious trainwreck. There was a group of 4-5 of us that saw it in the theater opening weekend and we still talk about the lulz to this day... 20+ years later. The best unintentional comedy ever made... you can't riff it... as I promise you would be less intentionally funny than Mr.VanWinkle was unintentionally.... and if that doesn't make it one of the best movies of the 90s.. then piss up a rope you damn stick-in-the-mud! I would have kicked my self if I had submitted a list and forgotten to include somewhere in the top 10.

You unironically wrote "lulz", therefore your opinion is invalid.
