^He also directed those Taco Bell dog commercials.

Fun movie, plus if you look fast you can spot Mark Mothersbaugh in a scene (anything Devo related is a positive for me). it was another I put in honrorable mentions. I knew Blue Raja would make sure it made the top 25 ;)

Trivia fact!  Due to a shortage of vanilla pod beans, the cost of vanilla ice-creams is set to soar this year.  And three people should be ashamed of themselves.

What point would they be making?

I have no idea. That they have very bad taste in movies? That the list is a sham? That they're gay for Vanilla Ice?  That they're hipsters who only like things ironically? It's a mystery.

That they want to take a piss on everyone else who took the time to thoughtfully complete a list.  Whatever.  Just three more names on my ignore list.

Cool!  Was #6 on my list!  Just a fantastic movie.  Infinitely re-watchable, which says a lot for a comedy.

I'd hate to think that it was some organized attempt at a joke. First of all, I fail to see the humor in it, and second, it doesn't seem to be in the spirit of the L.O.C.

Bill, Coragale, and Quirk, was this a joke or just some crazy coincidence?

I'm hoping another Guest movie will make the list.

Which one?  Because if Best In Show hadn't come out in 2000, I would have had that one on my list too.  Maybe even higher than Guffman.

I prefer Waiting for Guffman to Best in Show.  It may be the music, or it may be my exposure to am-dram and my recognition of certain people in the movie.

The one thing that has always struck me about Waiting For Guffman is how much the town of Blaine seems like a live action version of Springfield from The Simpsons.  The main characters in Guffman could easily have been characters from Springfield.  Just something I have thought about this movie since the first time I saw it.

I love dog shows and especially love Best in Show, but I agree with mr. basehart that Waiting for Guffman is the better movie. The quotes and one-off scenes in that movie alone make it worth repeated viewings.
