I'm kind of surprised by the things you guys consider 90's. Personally, I think you're way off base.

1. We’re Back: A Dinosaur’s Story

 ;)

You mean me? If so, I respectfully decline. I've seen enough Dateline NBC to know that he's probably a 30 something man.

Here's my supplemental.  I picked these as the ones that best typify the 90s versions of their respective genres.

Sleepless in Seattle
Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery
Jurassic Park
Speed

And lastly there's Pulp Fiction which became a genre unto itself.
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

1. Reality Bites (1994) - Base explained this one pretty well. I actually quite like this movie, vintage Stiller and all. Though I don't like who Ryder chose at the end (she's better than that)

agreed, i think thats a bit of how we've grown as society that we no longer root for ethan hawke to get her.  i much preferred ben stillers character in the movie and was hoping he would get her.

I had space jam for my kids movie of the 90s.  that movie was huge kind of crazy when you think about how insane it is.

Who was rooting for Hawke's character ever?  She should have spurned both of them at the end.  How refreshing it would be for one of these contrived love triangles in a movie end with neither guy getting the girl.

I haven't seen the movie, but that should happen at least once.

Sorry that wasn't more clear.  I just thought it was funny that a movie about Dinosaurs is a quintessential 90s movie.

I never liked Empire Records. It's a premise that I love, but that movie is just annoying.

My top 5:

1. Clerks
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
3. Clueless
4. Singles
5. The Matrix

Or something like that. Honorable mentions are Mallrats and Chasing Amy.

Really?  I thought Stiller's character was worse than Ethan Hawkes

Trivia fact! Billy Wilder contributed to the first draft of the screenplay. Wilder had many relatives who died in the Holocaust, and tried to convince Steven Spielberg to let him direct the film. Spielberg was already prepared to shoot the film in Poland, and turned it down.

I did not know that, you learn something new every day.
