If you don't have the Rifftrax...

(1/1)

Danecho1967:
This would be the weekend to check it out.  It's on sale for $2.99 this weekend (of Mar. 23, 2012) only.

Alas, I don't own the DVD and have found it hard to find.  It's pretty expensive online, too.

Darth Geek:
I am sure it will get rereleased on DVD and BluRay when the 3D version comes out this summer.

CJones:
Ugh.. I wish this stupid 3D craze would end. I can't see a damn thing with 3D glasses and my usual glasses on at the same time.

There was a similar 3D craze in the 50's. Hitchcock's "Dial M for Murder" was actually shot in 3D, but by the time the film was released, the craze had ended. So they just released it in 2D. I think it's been re-released on DVD in the original 3D format.

AbleApe:
So for the 100th anniversary of the sinking, my girlfriend and I went to the 3D version and listened to the Riff of it on our mobile devices in the theater! It was like a live RiffTrax event, but in 3D! The people around us may have been annoyed with us giggling through the entire movie, especially during the serious scenes, but it was time for a payback from all the annoyances we've put up with in previous movies.

Since there were no scenes changed in this release that affected timing, it synced up throughout the film, except for the usual minor adjustments occasionally (~1 second every half hour?). I used an audiobook player app for this which allowed me to adjust the fast forward and rewind speeds, as well as prevent accidental jumping to the next mp3 track. And if either of us got really lost out of sync, we just referenced the other's track time.

Great fun. Hope this helps.
