Laika doesn't convert well to trailers. I didn't discover them until a few years ago just because I assumed their movies were all generic DreamWorks-type stuff.

'Venom' Debuts with $111M in China

Looks like we are definitely going to get a Venom sequel. It's already $677 million worldwide.
Here's hoping they give Woody Harrelson a better wig.

As much as I adore Aaron Sorkin, I think William Goldman is the greatest screenwriter ever.

His two autobiographies are fantastic reads. The first one got him blacklisted for a decade despite being the best in the business.

The Princess Bride is one of my all-time favourite movies (it's definitely in the top 5) and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was wonderful.

Oh, and Marathon Man. Marathon Man was so good.

Uh oh.

I know early screenings aren't always a good indicator of a movie's quality. My biggest concern is that movie studios seem to take the worst kind of advice from them.
