Change Forum Layout/Colors Back To Old Format

Is there anyway to change the forum layout back to where it was a few months ago? I don't see any new advantages over this new overlay, just a ton of blue.

It just looks amaturish to me :\

PS: Is there anyway to remove the "New" tags?

click on the thread. the new tag tells you that there are new posts in that thread. :-\

If you want to remove all of the "new" tags, use the "Mark All Messages As Read" button on home page.
