Funniest Segment of a RiffTrax yet
« on: March 10, 2012, 04:34:10 PM »
I think the funniest segment was in the beginning of "Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets."  From the point where Harry enters Borgin & Burke's to the to the scene where he meets up with Ron and Hermione in Diagon Alley.  That whole sequence had me almost pissing my pants.  From Keith Richards smoking hand to Hagrid's downright denial of picking up hookers, it's hilarious.  That whole Rifftrax of "Chamber" is one of the funniest of all time.

Kodozardoz, I'm really happy for you, and I'm gonna let you finish. But Quiptracks had the greatest segment of riffs of all time! In Van Helsing when they were doing the "rave" jokes.

Tough one, off the top of my head:

The Amway salesman bit in Avatar had me on the floor the first time I heard it.

But I doubt anything will ever beat the beginning of The Star Wars Holiday Special, the first 20 minutes of that nearly killed me first time watching, but that was not only due to the riffing, pretty much 50/50 the insanity on screen mixed with the riffs.

Near the end of Drag Me To Hell when they do that seance with the goat.

 :D

That whole scene is completely out-of-hand.

"So, what's the game? Jacks Trips? Hey there, toots."

"It's me, Paul Lynde! Not sure what I'm doing in here."

The "Second Unit Director Skit" from Prisoner of Azkaban was a standout, funny bit to me.  I also have to agree about the first 20 minutes of The Star Wars Holiday Special.

Drag Me To Hell is still on my "to watch" list.

I think my favorite bits were:

Pretty much everything towards the end of Chamber of Secrets.

"Oh dear God I'm British! (faints)"
"Ron Weasly. Nerd, Child Murderer."

Gotta agree with the first 20 minutes of SWHS.

However my 2 favorite bits both come from Independence Day:

2: The entire first battle with the alien saucer
"Oh no you did shoot that green shit at me!" (I know that's not a riff, I just liked that line)
"The trash talking would be more effective if they hadn't just destroyed 90% of your civilization."
And culminating in:
"I hope the alien's played by Cedric the Entertainer, cause that would lead to a hilarious scene where he said 'I know you didn't dangle that parachute in my face dog."
"And then the Fresh Price of Will Smith would say "I know you don't want to be pointing a finger at me, unless you want to pull back a bloody stump."
"And then the movie could... end.", "Oh that would be great."

1: And my number one single favorite Rifftrax sequence, the entire final battle in ID4.
"Let's bronze the shoes"
"Let's polish the knob"
"Let's reinstall the OS from a slipstream disc"

"Debronze those shoes!"
"Tarnish the knob!"
"Bring the computer back to the most recent restore point prior to OS installation!"

"I takes a tough man to make a tender chicken!"'
"Take all you want, but eat all you take!
"We don't swim in your toilet, so please don't pee in our pool!"
"What did them in was their inability to come up with snappy catchphrases". "I regret some things". "See they just couldn't get the hang of it"

ID4 is the Rifftrax I could watch every weekend.

I loved the bit about how Bill imagined Will Smith and Harry Connick Jr. living to an old age and always being friends. "Wow. Didn't see that one coming."
