Watched the last few innings of the Cardinals Nationals game last night, Michael Wacha was so close.
That 27th out in the 9th inning is a killer.

I do find it odd that the cardinals ( my team) have three rookie starting pitchers and five rookie release pitchers......and they all have been fine.

Not sure who to root for in the post season.  I guess I want the Pirates to win at least a few, but as for who I'd like to see in the World Series, probably the Red Sox and the Cardinals.

Very cool no-hitter to end the Marlins season, never seen a walk off no-hitter before.  How weird that he was on deck when the winning run scored, so he was able to be out on the field in the on deck circle. (not that it was possible for him to bat, there were 2 outs with the bases loaded)

I really don't know how to view the postseason right now.  Granted, I want the Tigers to nab the World Series this year, after getting into it twice in the past decade and blowing it, but they've been struggling as of late...heck, if they hadn't clinched in Minnesota, they might have had to play Cleveland for the Division champ.  And speaking of, Cleveland has been going nuts with its win streak, but I don't know if they can keep the momentum through the postseason or if they blew themselves out trying to get there.  Boston has been good all year long and the current best record in the AL, but the Yankees had that distinction last year and got wiped out in four against Detroit, so that's no guarantee either.  Tampa Bay eked out against the Rangers at a time when both were fighting tooth and nail to avoid elimination, so they can't be counted out...and hell, the NL was a damn close race for the wild card as well for awhile there (at least, in the Central), even though the division champs had nothing to worry about.

It's a crazy year, and nobody looks like a lock to me.  Ought to be fun to watch.

You have no idea how enjoyable this years Sox team is for me to watch after the  year with  :grr: Bobby  :grr: :grr: Valentine was.

I freaking hated last year.  The only enjoyment I had was every time that idiot opened his mouth to the media.  Because I could not believe he was so stupid even though I knew he was.

It's always fun when the Cardinals win a game 2-1 by pitching three rookie pitchers.

Just to put it out there...there might be a good chance that due to the ALCS series there may no longer be any OneWallCinema/One Man Band crossovers.  Baseball rivalry can be a strong thing indeed. ;)

I kid, of course.  Go Tigers, though.

If you sacrifice Joe West to the baseball gods then I will forgive you.  Maybe.

That was painful to watch. Especially watching a PED guy get the game winning RBI.

Did SJP just cause a power outage in Detroit just to screw with John Lackey & help out his beloved team? I suppose we will never know. But I'm keeping an eye on him...

As a Brewers fan this is looking like the worst possible outcome for a world series.  Seriously fuck the cardinals and I would have at least had Prince Fielder to route for if the Tigers could make.  If it's Cardinals vs Red Sox, I doubt I'll watch a single game.
