He's like Sampson.

Without his mighty chin gopher, he is useless.

Poor John Lackey. I may not like having him on the Red Sox, but nobody wants to see that happen to him.

Sounds like Lackey might just have a biceps strain, so hopefully the elbow is not injured again.

Well, it was looking like another loss at home, 2 outs in the 9th down by 2, Kevin Frandsen gets his first career walk off hit, a pinch hit 3 run double.

Expect Cole to be pitching well tomorrow, after being pretty bad opening day.  That would leave Halladay as the only question mark out of the starting 5.

Edit:  Just read that Frandsen's parents were visiting from California and were in the stands when he hit the game winner.

Screw all you guys, Yuniesky Betancourt's currently my team's first baseman. I'm in baseball hell.  :D

"Yuniesky Betancourt"?  Sounds like one of the goofy names used on "Game of Thornes".

I'm sure you can find him in one-of-the-nine free cities of Westeros during the offseason.  :P

That was a terrible and loser move the SD player made by charging the mound in close game like that.  I wish Bob Gibson or Nolan Ryan would have been pitching.  That guy would have been knocked out in seconds.

If I were the Dodgers, I would plug him with baseballs the rest of his career.

According to the numbers, he HAS been hit by baseballs his entire career.

My concern now is that the Tigers are headed out west to do battle against the A's, who have a phenomenal record so far this year...and the Tigers, with the lineup they have, should be doing better than  .556.  Don't turn into the Yankees, guys, have those salaries mean something!   ;D

Chooch is back!  Phillies sweep the Mets.  Actually they have won 6 in a row up in NYC.  Cole didn't pitch great but finally got his first win.  So not a bad weekend for the fight'n Phils.
