Ongoing insanity to follow the whole "Francona wasn't invited to the Fenway 100th Anniversary Celebration because we didn't have his address", Francona giving them a "screw you I am not going", then him deciding he is going now*, now we have "Theo Epstein wasn't invited because we thought we already had invited him".  What a freaking mess that front office is.

*I am glad he is going. I also want to see the crowd give him a standing O and boo Bobby V. Since we're 4-8, that might actually happen.

Lee on the 15 day disabled list, strained oblique...
Halladay was the worst I've ever seen him tonight.
And all the bats are sleeping.

 :grr:

Still, at least we are not Boston...   :rimshot:

Sorry K1, couldn't resist...

Oh good.

Quote
The only former Rangers teammate that pitcher Vicente Padilla has had a real problem with is new teammate Marlon Byrd, according to Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com (Twitter links).  The pitcher, now with the Red Sox, was released by Texas in 2009 for behavior that was seen as a distraction to the clubhouse.

Maybe Boston should just give up all sports for a bit and rule for local colleges?

Bobby V just told the media that Bard will pitch out of the pen between now and his next start.

It's like he is playing "Tommy John Russian Roulette".

Well my O's gutted out a win at the Angels to not get swept in their series.  Not liking a lot of their play over the last few games, but what else is new.

Go O's!

Recycled some of our Burn-E riff to do a tribute to the 2012 Sox bullpen.

Let's add to the Bobby V fun!  Recently he set his lineup based on thinking a pitcher was a Righty. (He wasn't.)  He also mispronounced Mike Aviles name in a post game press conference.

Uhggg,  seems like the Phillies can only play 1 game well out of every 3 so far this year, both at bat and in the field.  Charlie better do something to keep things from getting worse, can start to see players pushing too hard and making things worse.  I don't know how many times Pence has been diving for balls he shouldn't and costing extra bases, he was better than that last year, and he's really slumping at the plate.

Howard is going to start "baseball activities" this week, he should be back even better than the last few years if he can now run well, question will be if his bat comes back.

As for Utley, he's supposed to do "something" with the team on this road trip coming up, then maybe head down to Clearwater to start doing some baseball stuff.  Who knows when he'll be back.

Every season has a bad month or 2, hope this one is their worst and things pick up the rest of the way.

Well, that was crazy.

Halladay has a 6 run lead at one point.
Chooch gets 7 RBIs
But we still lose in 11 innings.  :'(

That was a weird game.........lots of weird games yesterday.   The fact that the braves guy hit a LONG ball in the 11th just foul, then hits the winning homerun was strange.

And the Pirates starting pitcher facing the Cardinals who gave up 12 earned runs in the first 2.1 innings before he was removed was odd.  Who leaves a crappy starter in THAT long?

Haven't seen the Phillies play this bad since probably 2005 or 6.
