Well, Dodgers pulled off a win, so that makes the NLCS interesting.

As for the ALCS...

Well, at this point, win or lose, I must admit to a little Schaudenfreude when I hear the disappointment coming out of Joe Buck.  I have nothing against anyone in baseball...except him.  And Nick Swisher (but that's nothing personal on his end; just every time I see him I feel like the guy in Stepbrothers who can't stand Will Ferrell's face).  He doesn't seem as bad this year as he's been in years past, but he's one of those guys that, unlike most announcers I hear regularly, cannot bring himself to acknowledge good plays by the team he himself hasn't picked as his favorite.  It was all "Yankees This, Yankees That" last year, even as they were getting swept in the playoffs.

Is it wrong to want my team to win just so Joe Buck can cry himself to sleep on his solid gold pillow? ;)

Oh, St. Louis made it to the world series?

*yawn*

Seriously, we could have had the tigers, the dodgers, or another team that hasn't been in the series practically every year. Ya know, at least football is less predictable.

It's the only downfall of baseball...

So close but so far....

Not only was that part of a double TOOTBLAN but it was also the only 4-2 double play in ALCS history.

Missed most of the game...was out half the night, and when I finally checked the score it was 2-1, Tigers.  So I didn't see that particular play.

Unfortunately, the score didn't stay that way.  Well, Red Sox played the better game, and congrats.

Now it's time to sit and eventually be disappointed by the Lions.  Again. ;)

How can a vegetarian be that heavy?    The Tigers must feed him ice cream between innings.

I feel more intimidated by the red birds this time around than I did in 2004.  Should be a much more exciting series this time around.

As a Brewers fan this is looking like the worst possible outcome for a world series.  Seriously fuck the cardinals and I would have at least had Prince Fielder to route for if the Tigers could make.  If it's Cardinals vs Red Sox, I doubt I'll watch a single game.

Well it's been a good season.  See you all next year.

This World Series is insane. Strike zones all over the place, crap analysts by Fox, and freaking Jim Joyce. Ugh.

I should be happy the Sox made it to the series but unnngh...

My fear is that Fox will put the "stars" of their network shows in booth for "clever comments".

What gets me even more than the crappy commentators is the crappy camera work.

Can I see more than 5 seconds at a time of the players on the field please?  And some wide shots to see how they are set up for each batter?  And they spend way too much time in closeup on faces.  It's as if everyone involved in the production hates baseball and has no idea what to put on camera.

Has anyone measured how much time they spend showing people in the stands?  I want to see the players, not people in the stands.

I haven't watched an entire game yet because of getting fed up with the coverage.
