[As I'm writing to ask this, I keep hearing Bill in the Film Crew riffing of
The Giant of Marathon saying
"HUGE testicles...
HUGE testicles.... I wonder if that means anything?

torgosPizza, I have a question, and a suggestion. [And, as usual, apologies for length, but I wanted the 'what' and the 'why' to be clear, so there'd be no misunderstanding.]
QUESTION:
Is there any way in the Preview option to turn the visible code back on in the typing box, but still use the buttons? I've found I can only do one or the other.
I had to fight with just this one post
SIX [edit:] ELEVEN times to turn off the italic once I'd used it once, as it kept reappearing with any new text I'd type, or after a hard return, or sometimes after just a space. With the visible formatting code, it was VERY easy to delete a 'stray' bit of formatting code so you could then concentrate on what you were typing. It was also MUCH easier to modify code [e.g. change picture size for a picture being 'quoted' by simply adding " width=360" after the "[img" part of the code, rather than having to type it all in manually. Also, there are sometimes code that doesn't 'act right' in the box. I actually had two hard returns after the opening bracketed line, before using your name, yet the Preview wouldn't include a break there, until I finally deleted everything from the last character of the bracketed part to the first letter of your name [inclusive], then retyped the "] <two line break> t".
For most users, who likely don't fiddle with formatting as much as I [yes, yes: I'm a formatting whore!] it probably doesn't make as much difference, particularly if they just use the posting box at the bottom of each page, but I suspect there are more people than just me that use the formatting code, even if just subliminally.
SUGGESTION:
(Which is phrased as a question, actually.) Is there any possibility of there being - in addition to the "New Replies" and "Unread" buttons, a "Most-Liked Posts (since your last visit)"? It would be a great way for 'oldies' such as myself, and newbies (which you all [and 'we-all'] want to increase) to find the 'most enjoyed' comments and possibly find new topics to become active in from there.
I did see that in the Forum main areas that it lists the number who have Liked the whole thread. What I was thinking with this was more like a 'best of posts' [had to write as 'best of...' because 'liked of posts' sounds REALLY stupid

].
I do realize that you've busted your ass with this forum, particularly lately, and I realize you've
always done a great deal keeping the nuts and bolts of the forum running as smoothly as it does. But I thought I'd ask since you're 'in there' at the moment.
