I learned that when you are secretly a vampire, and exposure to direct sunlight in the presence of humans will mean a death sentence, you will not think twice about holding an outdoor wedding ceremony on a sunny day.
To be fair, in the Twilight universe sunlight doesn't kill vampires it just makes them sparkle. Which this movie apparently forgot, I believe it has to be
direct sunlight so you could quibble that the shade of the out-door wedding offered protection but what about on the beach while they're on the honeymoon?
(And, yes, the Volturi vampire leaders seem to kill any vampire who exposes himself to humans but it seems that it has to be done in a very public display and, well, they have to know about it. I suspect the wedding stuff wouldn't tick them off... too much.) It did seem odd to me that Edward doesn't sparkle during the beach scenes in this movie and there where times when he and Bella were in bed where Bella looked
whiter than Edward!
I did learn that in this movie for the first time since Anna Kendrick's "breast tanning" scene in the first movie the creators finally decided to give male viewers some fan-service with Kristen Stewart being in some skimpy lingere. (In spite of her skinniness I did like the way she looked in that sheer blue thing she's in when she plops down in front of Edward and he just chuckles and covers her up.)
In this movie I also learned that between movies Werewolves learned about shirts, along those same lines I also learned they apparently either keep stashes of clothes hidden around the woods or their clothes must just come back under some Hulkian magic when the go back to human form.
(And, seriously, the "woosh" noises whenever the vampires ran or jumped in this movie were down-right Smallville-ian.)
