Here's mine:

1 The Island (still my number one most wanted riff after all these years)
2 Starship Troopers (I'm amazed no one's done this)

3 Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (Nearly bankrupted Squaresoft)
4 Mac & Me (the worst movie I've ever seen in an actual theater)
5 Cowboys and Aliens
6 Flash Gordon

7 Aliens vs Predator- I'm suprised this didn't make it
8 Willow (A movie starring Warwick Davis and Val Kilmer? How could that go wrong?.. Sad thing is, I played, and beat, both the NES game and the arcade game based on this (which are completely different BTW))
9 Tron Legacy

10 Death Race 2000
11 Ultraviolet
12 District 9
13 Super Mario Bros. (I've actually never seen this, but just from the trailer... Plus this seems to be a favorite)
14 The Wizard of Oz (I actually think this could work)
15 They Live
16 Heartbeeps (This was a childhood favorite of mine... Now I realize it kinda sucked)
17 Street Fighter: The Movie
18 Timeline
19 The Last Starfighter
20 Battle Royale (Yeah I know, this will never happen)
21 Robocop 3
22 Dungeons & Dragons
23 Barbarella - I wish I had put this higher in retrospect. I didn't think anyone else would vote for it. Apparently I was wrong.
24 Quantum of Solace
25 Cars 2

I didn't think of 2012 until it was too late, oddly enough.

I had Alien Vs Predator on my list. If I chose part 2 instead or you chose part 1 instead, then the combined points would have elevated one of the AvP's into the LOC. Alas, I only listed AvP.

...except the sequel is AvP: Requiem.  I'm pretty sure you both meant the same film.

Sorry, the extra letter placed the two nominations on the opposite sides of Aliens (Plus a stray Alien III) and I didn't notice it.

39.5. Alien vs. Predator - (2004) - 32 points
(2 of 17 lists. Highest ranking - #7 CJ Jones)

Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson
Starring Sanaa Lathan, Lance Henriksen andRaoul Bova

Place on 11's list: N/A
Place on 10's list: #31
Place on 09's list: #32
Place on 08's list: #4
Last year's #39.5: The Unbearable Lightness of Being - (1988)

Synopsis:
"Set in the early 21st century on Earth, Charles Weyland, an industrialist billionaire, leads an archaeological expedition in Antartica. Using thermal imaging satellites, Weyland believes to have discovered the ruins of an ancient pyramid temple that predates the Egyptian and Aztec pyramids buried under the ice. Once inside, the team finds the remains of humans with holes in the rib cage and the remains of facehuggers, meaning that the possibility of the temple being uninhabited is very unlikely. To make matters worse, a group of teenage Predators are coming to the temple to perform a coming-of-age ritual that involves fighting to the death with the aliens. Soon, it becomes clear that only one species is getting out alive."

Up Next:
A portrayal that makes Jackie Gleason in "Smokey and the Bandit" seem like Sidney Poitier in "In the Heat of the Night."

I couldn't think of 25 movies at all, but if I could have, Superman 4 would probably top the list since it was so poorly written and produced.

According to IMDB, the full titles are:

I. AVP: Alien vs. Predator
II. AVPR: Aliens vs Predator - Requiem

So you don't need to apologize for this one, Compound.  8)
But thanks for the addendum, nonetheless. Now this LOC has two films by Paul W.S. Anderson (AVP & Event Horizon). Actually, if you look at his filmography, his films have probably turned up on more LOC's than Uwe Boll's.

22.Predator 2 (I actually like this movie better than the original)

Likewise. Over time it's picked up something of a following & I've read more than one article on "why Predator 2 is better than the first". One such article: http://www.scene-stealers.com/top-10s/top-10-reasons-predator-2-is-the-best-of-the-%E2%80%9Cpredator%E2%80%9D-franchise/

Another niche crowd I sympathize with is "why Brian Cox is the best Hannibal Lecter", except in this case Manhunter came before the Anthony Hopkins portrayals. I generally avoid debates, but one of the few things that can almost incense me is if someone says Red Dragon is a better film (or better-directed film) than Manhunter. Praising Brett Ratner over Michael Mann...  :D  I'm not so passionate over X-Men or Bryan Singer, but it still strikes me as wrong wrong wrong when it's voiced on X-Men IMDB boards that X3 is the best & best-directed of the X-Men films. Not a far stretch to imagine someone arguing "Rush Hour and The Family Man are far superior to The Usual Suspects."

Thanks for that. Yeah, I did mean the first one. I've never even seen Requiem. I couldn't remember whether there was an 's' on the end of Alien or not, and apparently I was just too damn lazy to look it up. So yeah, I'm the one who screwed up. Sorry :-[

Dude, you don't need to apologize. This isn't exactly a film that warrants the memorization of pluralization. Not like writing "Citizen Kanes" or "Clockwork Oranges" or "A Schindler List".  :)

I've "seen" it, and I still didn't SEE it. It's known above all for having piss poor lighting.

In that case, shouldn't the full title be Aliens Vs Predator 2?  And then the next one would be Alien3 Vs. Predators.

Very good article. Those are most of the same reasons I have. I don't necessarily completely agree with all of #5, I would have liked if they successfully had a badass woman character (Maria Conchita Alonso is a TERRIBLE actress in this). But I totally agree in the disdain for force fed romantic subplots. So the lack of that was a breath of fresh air.
What he didn't mention, though, was the fact that this movie did NOT make the mistake of trying to put the Predator back in the shadows and not seen very much, like it was in the first one. Some people criticize it for this, but I think once you've revealed the Predator in all his glory at the end of the first one, you can't go back. So they wisely showed him, and they gave him more toys, so there is still stuff to surprise you.
However, one of the hardest things to do in filmmaking is world building. And the first movie has the establishment of the Predator and what it takes to fight him down pat. So that can't be taken away from it.
EDIT: And I cannot agree more with how absolutely BADASS Danny Glover is in this. Without the bullshit baggage of "I'm getting too old for this shit" from Lethal Weapon, he is a force of nature here, and far more interesting a character than Arnold in the first one. It will forever be my favorite thing Danny Glover's done
