Are their Von Tier films that can be recommended to someone who just doesn't see what the big deal about him is?
I'm not a fan of his whatsoever, but give
Dancer in the Dark a viewing for Bjork's performance alone, Dragon. It's really something to see. I've yet to revisit it after ten years because...
...the ending is too cruel.
...but again, Bjork is just magic in it.
John Dies at the End. I enjoyed the book and I'm hoping the movie lives up to it. http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/photosizer/upload/1johndies121811.jpg
Damn, I forgot that's coming out! *slaps forehead*
Coscarelli + very rich dark comedic material = Fun, fun, fun
As for the list of movies I'm excited for this year:
1a) Piranha 3DD - I was bummed for a couple of minutes when I learned this wasn't being released on Thanksgiving of last year.
1b) Prometheus - Space Jockey origin story? *buckles seat-belt*
1c) [Rec] 3 - adore the first two and excited to see the origin of all of the demonic madness
2) John Dies at the End
3) Amazing Spider-Man - hoping for the best
4) Cabin in the Woods - my interest is piqued
5) Expendables 2 - that cast is absurd!
It's looking like quite the rebound year for me after a very lackluster 2011 for my movie viewing experiences.
