So there is no arena equivelent in this game, is there?

There's at least one arena mod in the steam workshop.  It was alright. But no official arena.

I'd swear I heard about some changes that would make Skyrim run better on slower, dual core computers.  Is there anything to this?  I'd like to be able to play on my computer instead of the 360, so I can make a few mods, but the game crawls on my computer.

They have released a few performance upgrades in the patches that will probably help you. How far were you willing to tone down your graphics settings?  Should be able to get it to run ok on most machines if you're willing to sacrifice some in the visuals.

I'm willing to sacrifice visuals for gameplay.  I logged on and got the patch this past weekend, but it still played crappy in full screen mode with "low" settings.  It plays okay if I go for a lower resolution windowed mode, but I have to use a 360 controller.  Mouse control sucks on my machine at any resolution.

Interesting.  Most people experience a little frame rate boost if you disable the 360 controller option.  Seems like your bottle neck is probably in your video card if the lower resolution helps, though it will help a little more if you do full screen mode at a lower resolution instead of windowed.  Do you have anti aliasing turned off?  That will help a lot.

Where do you notice the game performing the poorest?  Outdoors?  In cities?  During battle?  Get a program like Fraps (http://www.fraps.com/) and let me know what your average frame rate is if you feel like messing around with it some more.  I put a lot of time into getting the game to look good and run well on my machine and I'd be happy to give you a hand.

So I stole a horse, Frost, from a guy who paid me to steal it for him.  That bastard is crazy, he will run out into a middle of a fight and start attacking bad guys.  It annoys me.  You are a damn horse, stop attacking things!  Horses were done better in Oblivion.

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

I disagree. Skyrim horses are badasses. They kill your enemies while you enjoy a cup of tea.

It mostly addressed new issues with the mod workshop.

Well, it depends, as far as I'm concerned. If it's a wolf or bear, I don't mind so much since they can distract it until I can get at it. Or in the case of a wolf, kill it before I can even bring out my weapon. Now, if it's a dragon or giant, I'd rather it run off to a safe distance instead of being killed.

Yeah, I only knew about it because a friend of mine told me about it. Otherwise I doubt I ever would have gone in that temple.
