Well in addition to my widescreen DVD of Warriors, I tracked down 2 other widescreen versions- all of which are longer than the riffed VOD by 4 to 10 minutes. Per imdb, the UK version seems to be the version most close in length to the riffed version, but found some info indicating that the movie contains an extended rape scene that was cut from some releases that likely is the cause of the differences in version lengths. Not sure if I care enough to try and compare and cut that scene to see-will probably just give up and watch the VOD this weekend instead.

The only widescreen DVD of Warriors that I found was a non-US title: "The New Barbarians". Is that very different?
The case on mine is titled Warriors of the Wasteland, but the opening credits say The New Barbarians. It's not a UK DVD though because it's NTSC formatted and not PAL. I was able to edit it to fit the riffed VOD.
Just sent Thrashalla a message offering to send him my edit if he's interested in upgrading the VOD video. Only thing that needs to be done to it is the opening credit title change which shouldn't be too difficult since it's white on a black background.

I'm just glad to hear that the poor video quality was part of what they had to work with and not due to my reauthor process.

I was a little surprised at the video quality of Warriors of the Wasteland when I saw it a few days ago, but then I remembered what some MST3k films looked like, and it actually added a little charm to the whole thing.  A charm that the film totally, totally lacked.

Oh man I hope this is true.  The IMDB description says:
"A boy is given a ring by an old witch, he uses the ring to bring upon a magic Christmas that grants him 3 wishes. "

It is indeed true - Announced here.

Wow. I still haven't seen the Ice Cream Bunny riff; should I wait for the "extended version" to purchase it?

You can find the full version of the movie on Youtube, I've watched the parts they cut for the Rifftrax and oh the pain, the pain....

So go for the current release, it's a killer riff, almost up there with The Star Wars Holiday Special.

I remember there being a few moments in the cut footage that I wished they guys would have riffed, so I am looking forward to the new broadcast, sort of, I'm literally talking a few seconds out of many minutes of pain.

Wow, I'm playing it on my Kindle Fire right now...  Didn't know there were so many Rifftrax on Prime.
