"Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" wins the Unintentionally Funniest Episode Award, hands down. It never fails to send my mother and me into hysterics. Every time I start to watch it again I think, "Well, it probably won't seem as funny this time," and every time I laugh even harder. That guy in the dime-store suit stuck to the window like a suction-cup Garfield . . .  :D

That led to a great moment on 3rd Rock from the Sun. Dick (John Lithgow) and The Big Giant Head (Shatner) are talking about their experiences with planes. Watch it here.

I know what you mean Tyrant... they should have some sort of spam Umbrella.  ;D
Oh, ahem, back on topic... everyone should see The Silence... that episode is just amazing. It's
toward the end of season 2.

Looks like it's on the S1 set.

They also have a nice little adaptation of the SF story "The Star."  Maybe the same ep? I'll have to look tonight.

That one makes sense given it is loosely Christmas based IIRC

So I just started watching these again.  I love them.  And god Rod Serling had some amazing class.  He is one of those people who could probably read the phone book and sound amazing.

For the record, Rod was pretty high on my list of Top 50 Celebrity Crushes. Nothing is more awesome to me than class and intelligence.

Also, I've discovered recently that Twilight Zone is to me what potato chips are to most people. There's no such thing as watching just one episode in my house, even if that's the intention. It starts with one ep, and winds up being the entire DVD disc in one sitting.  Even if I've seen the ep a thousand times, I just can't help myself.

You'll never regret it, though you may develop the same type of addiction to them that I've got.  ;)

What you need
The Four of us are dying
Third from the sun
I shot an arrow into the air
The Hitch-Hiker
The Fever
The monsters are due on Maple street
A nice place to visit
A stopover at Willoughby
The After Hours
The eye of the beholder
Nick of time
The invaders
Will the real Martian please stand up?
The Obsolete man
Two
The Arrival
The Shelter
A game of pool
Death's head revisited
Five characters in search of an exit
A quality of mercy
One more Pallbearer
To serve man
The Fugitive
Hocus Pocus and Frisby
I sing the body electric
The Changing of the Guard
Printer's Devil
A kind of stopwatch
You drive
The 7th is made up of Phantoms
An occurrence at Owl Creek bridge
What's in the box
The masks
The Jeopardy room
The fear

But those are the ONLY episodes of the original Twilight zone that I really love.

Yes, they did a top-notch job.  Great extras (commentaries, interviews, radio drama versions, both original and "enhanced" audio), great presentation, (reviews are out there--but they look phenomenal) and they're $45/season currently I think.

WOW radio dramas too.  Damn I now know whats at the top of my christmas list.  Thanks man.
