I gave it a good solid 8.

And man, the movies themselves just keep getting worse.   If I had to watch that unriffed I would have had to shank someone.
Yeah the HP movies are so DULL.  They're not bad.  If they were bad, like Laser Mission was, it would be campy fun and they'd have a lot to work with.  But really these are just boring.

Agreed. They think they're being "dark" and "mature", but they're just a fucking slog. Harry Potter and the Arch Deluxe.

The only HP film I enjoyed on its own was Azkaban.

The decent parts only came during the very end during the death scene, all the dead body jokes saved it.

6/10 overall. I blame the actual movie.

Giving it a 2.  I'm 2 hours and 10 minutes in, and I think I've laughed once.  Their Harry Potter riffs are always pretty awful.  The jokes rarely seem to relate to the movie, and when they do, they're just retreads of jokes from early Harry Potter riffs.  I was less than thrilled when this one was announced; I haven't like the HP riffs since about the 2nd installment.

I guess there's two more to slog through.

Since I started buying just the Rifftraxes that I'm interested in in the last year or so, my overall satisfaction has gone up. I've not liked any of the Harry Potter movie riffs that I've seen, and I never brought myself to watch the other one or two I did buy. So this is a skip for me.

Anyway, I guess my point is, perhaps you should consider skipping the last two? :)

It's about time someone proposed this to the Rifftrax creators! Good show, Edward, bloody good show.  :)

Nah, lots of folks seem to really love them, so I'll just not buy them and everybody's happy.

The only ones I've liked on their own are the last two. All the rest either bored or annoyed me. Thank FSM for Rifftrax.

You mean we'll not buy them and everybody's happy! Thrifty, feel free to not buy with us.

I don't know, I've just gotten the vibe that over the last several HP riffs, the "Not-Buyer's Club" has been growing slightly. There's various levels of HP Rifftrax consumerism:

1.) Never liked 'em to begin with. *Hiss*
2.) Liked (one of) the first 2
3.) Liked 'em up to Azkaban or Goblet of Fire, but worn out by now. "Does the world really need 8 HP riffs?"
4.) Liked all of them so far
5.) Determined to enjoy every Harry Potter riff, even before they riff it!
6.) Opinion on HP is irrelevant. "I need my Rifftrax fix & will buy whatever new Rifftrax they release!"

I'm somewhere around #3.

I'd give it an 8. I actually really like all the HP riffs.

The sight of high production values wasted on a ridiculous hole-ridden plot and ruined with atrocious actors is just something I love to see. HP does an especially good job of just NOT EXPLAINING half of the things taking place (what in the hell is a Half-Blooded Prince? What does the potion book have to do with anything else?) it's hilarious. I'm glad I've never read the books, or things might make sense.

I hope they finish the series.

Well, I don't think you have to worry about that.  :-\

If you'll indulge me, though, let's say they were only going to riff one of the Deathly Hallows. Would you rather they riffed Part 1 or Part 2?

I'm thinking 2.  There were so many scenes in Part 1 where literally nothing is happening, I think the "do something!" riffs would eventually get tiresome.  There's a lot more going on in part 2.

I hope they riff both parts of 7. I especially wanna hear their reaction to the naked makeout vision in Part 1.

I enjoyed this riff. All the Harry Potter movies have good riffs, and I'm not tired of them yet, unlike some people.
