Wheeeee!

The word Coven ALWAYS makes me think of 'American Movie'

Agree with that sentiment but add in the fact that I'm less than an hour and a half from where that tool lives (or lived while filming) and I'm always tempted to go and smack him around a bit.  "American Movie" was really interesting but I always find myself hoping it will end like "Grizzly Man."

Anyway, I really liked the first season but didn't watch the Asylum one at all.  Was it any good?

It's different, but I liked it. I'm glad it didn't fall into the same pattern.

I actually thought that the second season was a lot better than the first. I liked the first mainly because I love horror but it was all over the place. The second season threw a lot of stuff at you but it felt more resolved to me. Also, some truly fantastic performances. Jessica Lange, of course, but Sarah Paulson was mesmerizing.

The second season is a bit uneven but it's worth it for the excellent final two episodes, as well as the two-parter during the middle of the season.

Same.  I don't know why but this show always ends up being my most anticipated.

So it's all setup for Nic Cage to come and reclaim his house at the end of Coven, right?!!

God, I'm so happy this is back.

Recorded it but have not watched it yet.   Is it tied in with seasons one and/or two, or is it stand alone?

Awesome beginning!

And holy shit on Kathy Bates.

Yeah, pencil her in for a supporting actress Emmy next year.

Her pairing /w Lange is so wonderful.

What you look for in an actor is somebody who "goes for it." Not only does Kathy Bates go for it, she goes beyond it. Even Clive Barker is all like "Damn, baby, that might be too far."

Enjoyed it for the most part. Though my experience was dampened by my fiancé. She's writing a script about witches in the south and kept getting upset when the show was too similar to her script. She still liked it, but it was annoying to hear her huffing and pouting every few minutes.

Man, did Fiona drop a house atop this thread?

I"m psyched to see how Murphy's Frankenstein plays out.
