Plot Summary: The movie takes place when the trio are dumped out as newborns at the door of an orphanage. The comedy follows them to adulthood and is very much in the spirit of the original shorts, in which the blue collar bumblers got the best of the wealthy society matrons that tried to exploit them.

Wow. That looks PAINFULLY unfunny. I'm surprised Adam Sandler isn't behind this.

I didn't find any of that even remotely funny. It looked like nothing but America's Funniest Lamest, Most Unfunny Home Videos gags.

The only thing I really laughed at was when he asked if Larry had dynamite and Larry opened his vest enthusiastically.

Really, as someone who doesn't care much for the Stooges, to me this does look like the original Stooges. All the tired overused gags they always did. I don't mind watching it for a few minutes, but when you get repetative even in a ten minute short, YOU'RE NOT COMEDY GENIUSES!

The original Three Stooges weren't funny, and it looks like the Farrelly's have made a faithful adaptation.

So, a fitting tribute then?

Nah, neither this or the shorts are really my thing.  Wonder how well pratfalls will do in this day and age though.

Yea.. much like a post I made in regards to Aqua Teen Hunger Force in another thread... I think The Stooges worked pretty well in 15-20 minute shorts... I don't know if their shtick, whether it was the original guys from the 1940s or this current cast today, can sustain 90 minutes in a feature. But unless it just gets universally brutalized, it's something I'd likely rent/stream at some point.

Slapstick is pretty universal. I can see it doing particularly well overseas.
