I've never seen a cat express happiness as well as a dog. Dogs have an amazing range of facial expressions. Not to say I don't love cats, but dogs are way easier to read.

To an extent they've been bred to do that, but it's also a trait of animals that live in packs.

I think that is the thing I love the most about dogs, that incredible inter-species bond between them and humans. It's really moving when you think about how much they love us. One of my friends said she started weeping halfway through. It's very bittersweet, and very true.

A friend of mine, knowing that I love dogs showed that to me a couple of days ago. It's very cute, and moving.
