Wombats are cute and approachable. The key is to get down on their level and move very slowly.

but everything i've read about wombats makes this sound like a very bad idea. like getting in the way of a grumpy, stubborn tank. i don't trust andrew.

Well, according to Andrew's photo it was taken in Australia, and to be fair, if he hails from there, they have to deal with this sort of thing on a regular basis, which seems to imply that they are tough, hardy folk:

I think Andrew might have a deal with the High Council of Wombats to secure them more victims.

I usually have a live and let live attitude with spiders. Hey, they get rid of pests that I don't want. But seeing that inside my house might cause a little more than a shooing out the door. More like a pissing in my pants.

Nope. Then the town would have to pay them, which they won't do.

Well, that sucks. I've had to pick one of my dogs up from the pound because the little bugger got out of the fence, but at least I know I don't have to worry about stray dogs much, either.
