All that's required to lose weight is a calorie deficit. Whether you accomplish that by exercise or dieting, it doesn't matter. Really the only difference I can think of is that doing a pure diet route, you're going to end up being squishy and soft, whereas with exercise, you'll end up a lot more fit and toned. Doing both is the best chance of losing weight. I read a story a few months back about a nutritionist who lost 10 pounds in a month living on food he could pick up from a convenience store, i.e., junk food. As long as you're taking in less than you're putting out, weight will be lost.

Went on an hour long walk again this morning wearing tennis shoes this time..
Much better on my feet though my legs and lower back are still a bit sore :-[
I will keep trudging through the pain so I'm prepared for next month's doctor visit and the future postal job  8)

No pain, no gain loss.  :o
 Are you doing any kind of warm up/stretches before you walk?   Personally, I hate warming up.  8)   Good luck on the appointment!

Walked this morning, hacked up a big fallen limb by myself.. I definitely got my excercise today :o
Then I see this new mailman come up and he's easily pushing the 350 pound range and I'm thinking.. How in the fuck did they hire this guy before me ???

*WHEW!* I walked all the way to the nearest ATM to make a deposit for paying bills for the month and that was a good haul..
Took only an hour and a half to complete the walk :o
My legs and feet did fine but my lower back is in a bit of pain but pain don't hurt right :scared:

Well my recurring back pain that was crippling me earlier this year has gone and I can now do 50 pushups at a go.

Four months of BodyPump.

I've been doing BodyPump for the last 8months. Noticeable positive effect on not on ly my chronic lower back pain, but my muscle tone and stamina.
