Hoping there's some involvement from DS9 characters too.

Quark believes there is honesty in his cynicism. I have to admit there is some truth to what he says, but I think a lot of people would rather die than give into being what he thinks human beings are when they are at their absolute worst.

There is truth in what he says because that is true of ANY living creature. The fact that humans would create these comforts not to be lazy but for the desired end goal being a peaceful and kind society is what distinguishes us from the others.

Damn Discovery is really good so far! I'm about halfway through season 6 and it's just a damn great show so far! Also interesting to hear the first F-word uttered in a Star Trek series. That's kind of a landmark, also of course that the main character of the show is an African American woman.

I was kind of in the dark for a while as to when this all takes place, but obviously it's right after when Pike was Captain. I'm just confused about the design of the Klingons. I thought the TOS movies/TNG/DS9 possessed the best Klingon designs but... for some reason they decided to change things yet again. I mean I'm not saying it's a deal breaker for me or anything, it's just... weird. I'm interested to see if the TOS Klingons show up in Discovery later...

I didn't like the first season at all.  I only sorta liked S2. Stopped watching midway through.

The design aesthetic really bothered me. The creatures, ships, uniforms, as well as the cinematography, weird rotating camera angles, lighting, etc. It's just unpleasant to watch.

It definitely feels like the show that has a lot of behind the scenes turmoil.

I don’t understand why those things put you off. Aren’t the most important things to judge a series by are the writing, the storytelling and the characters?
