i think the holodeck doors noise is one of my favourite from all of star trek.

I always wondered why the Holodeck doors looked like they could withstand an explosion when all the rest of the doors looked about as secure as my screen door.
They certainly don't stop things from escaping the Holodeck occasionally.

Probably a semen barrier from the constant orgies the fuckodeck would be hosting.

I went back and watched some DS9 earlier. This time I viewed the two-parter called "Past Tense". This was pretty good(although not good enough to make my Top 25 in the Star Trek episodes LoC). In it, Sisko, Bashir and Jadzia are accidentally beamed into the early 21st century(2024 to be exact). It shows a bleak version of... OUR future but the events were in part responsible for making the Earth a better place for transients and the mentally ill.

Hey now that I think of it, DS9 had TONS of time travel episodes like the aforementioned Past Tense, but also Little Green Men, Trials and Tribble-ations, Time's Orphan, Wrongs Darker than Death or Night, and Children of time.

I went all the way back through the first few seasons of DS9 to watch some episodes that are at least decent and worth a watch. First I revisited the finale of season 1 entitled "In the hands of the Prophets". At first it seems like an episode designed to mirror the argument of evolution vs. God. It turns into an episode where somebody is plotting to murder a Bajoran religious leader. This was also the episode to introduce us to the nefarious Kai Winn(Louise Fletcher)... a character whose actions are pivotal, especially at the end of the series.

The next episode I went back and watched was season 4's Our Man Bashir. Even though it feels a bit like a typical holodeck malfunction episode I like it a lot for featuring the great pairing of Julian Bashir with Garak. Curiously, the character of Commander Eddington was responsible for bringing Sisko and company back to the station when their shuttle was sabotaged, because just a few episodes later Eddington was revealed to be a traitor and a Maquis collaborator.

I also checked out the episode entitled The Quickening. Normally I try to avoid things with titles that remind me of bad Highlander movies, but since I'm going to have to break that rule this coming April with Avengers: Endgame, I figured eh... why not? Anyways Julian and Dax visit a planet that's been covered with a blight that kills the inhabitants of the planet in painful fashion... courtesy of the Dominion. I should like to point out that in an episode of season 6(Which I don't remember right now now) Dominion spokesman Weyoun told Major Kira "The Dominion takes a dim view of terrorism". I'm of course thinking wow... talk about hypocrisy.

That sounds like something that I really need to see. Any chance for a blu-ray release?

I guess Monty Python is still a thing four centuries from now. Not that I mind or anything.
