I gotta say, Robin Hood trying to look imposing back there cracks me up. Wonder Woman looks terrifying. Hawkeye looks like he knows exactly how stupid his costume is.

And yeah, the forehead wrinkles on Batman are dumb.

They all sort of look a bit special needs too, by which I mean, I used to work with special needs kids and this pic reminds me of the class pictures that would be taken in the way the figures are standing or looking at the camera (or not as the case may be).

Why does Batman's mask have forehead wrinkles? That's always bothered me about Alex Ross's version.

This one is incredible!  It looks like it, is that a real tiny little town carved into the flank of the cone (the white area facing us on the outer surface)?

Looks like a little quarry (compare the size of it to the width of the road and the rooftops you can see).  That patch of white rock is very different from all the black volcanic rock around it.

Looks small going by the rooftops, can't be more than a mile or 2 across.  Would be nice to know the real name of it for a Google Earth search.

Not a lot of info about the island on the web, I'm curious about the grooves cut into the inner cone of the volcano but can't find anything.

Does look like a hard place to get to, only helicopter and boat.  And boats can't dock a lot of the time do to high waves at the exposed port (not much of a port, more like one pier).
