Identifying paintings is the only use I've found for Google Goggles so far. It doesn't do so well with physical objects.
Yeah, playing with it a little shows it has a way to go, however I do like the random suggestions it throws out (mostly based on the colour palette in the pic entered it seems) when it fails to identify an object.
I think the artist of Lembach's pic is John Slaby, but that might just be a quirk of metadata.
