OneWallCinema: The Shadow (1994) - Now Available!
« on: September 10, 2011, 08:57:10 AM »

The Baldwin Knows.

We are now accepting script submissions for the 1994 classic(?) "The Shadow" starring Jack Donaghy, Magneto, Dr. Frank N. Furter, and Brenda from Adventures In Babysitting.

How much of the film would we script? The whole thing or just part?

Not sure I understand the question. Do you mean how much of the script would be submission vs stuff we (owc) write?

Or are you asking if it's ok to submit partial scripts?

What we did with G.I. Joe was a good mix of our own stuff along with the best lines from various full and partial scripts people submitted.

One more question. All the avenues I've found for watching the movie(Amazon, Netflix, physical DVD) have different run times. Is there a specific one I should use, or do I just make a note of it in the script?

Okay I can't get the google spreadsheet to load on my connection and I can't seem to figure out how to format a spreadsheet in open office, can someone tell me how you format a spreadsheet in Open Office because right now it will not let me change the name of,width,or number of collums in the spreadsheet so it is useless for writing a riff.

Thanks.

Yeah just make note of which version and what the runtime is.  Thanks for the heads up on that!

Doc what do you normally use for your scripts? If it's a giant pain you can send whatever works for you along and I can transcribe it into excel. (not ideal obviously but we can try to help you out if you need it)

Ha! Bob beat us to it!

Sometime between now and whenever.   :)  I'm hoping to get started on my improv track sometime in the next week or two.  After that I'll start my script while I wait for submissions.

Let's just arbitrarily say.... Hm.  Halloween?  I'd like to get things finalized and recorded in November.  But I can be flexible if people need a little more time.

That might be tough...I'm trying to get together a "Halloween"-timed riff (as in, some horror film of ill repute to release in time for the season), and writing two at once is doable, but very time-consuming.  Would like to contribute, though.
One Man Band Riffs.  18 riffs, over 600 served, since 2009.

Odds are you'll be able to turn it in after Halloween.  We tend to fine tune our scripts up until the day before we release the riff.  And we tend to take our time with things.  Mainly because other things like "family" and "work" tend to get in the way.   :)
