Pretty much, horror/supernatural .

It's absolutely one of my favourite movies but I don't think of it as sci fi.

I don't know, I have yet to watch, but one of them was in the movies I know...

He was only assimilated once.  The scene in the movie(First Contact) was a flashback to Best of Both Worlds.

I'll have to concur with this. Ghostbusters is a "paranormal comedy" or something like that. If Ghostbusters counts, might as well include Beetlejuice & Gremlins. The "Handbook For the Recently Deceased" is nothing if not scientific.

anais.TKirk, I just want to reiterate something I said way earlier in this thread: reading your summaries, even for characters I might otherwise skip, is an absolute joy!  And reading them for characters I like is even better [loved the Hal9000 backstory!]

Kudos, and keep it up.  This has already been the most fun LoC in my memory.

Oh sure there are Sci Fi elements, I just don't think of it as Sci Fi though, too much of the occult to it.

Yeah, I certainly can understand not seeing it that ways, but I personally think it does since it has characters who use tech and scientific methods in order to combat the supernatural.  It's all about the approach.  Still, can see it the other way too.
