I do feel that DC has managed to do well with most animated versions of their properties (both films and TV series such as the Batman Animated Series, Batman Beyond, Justice League, etc. [though NOT the exaggerated Teen Titans in anime' style]), but botches it almost any time they try live action (all the films in their connected universe, most of their TV series, possibly including this one), while Marvel is the opposite: their live action is usually superb, while their animated outings (since [i.e. 'not including'] the 1960s-era FF and Spider-Man) just are sorely lacking.
This Titans show could potentially be good, if they are trying to take it back to the feel of its original run (with these characters) in the '80s. There were some very serious issues in those early comics, such as Raven's dad and her dark potential. I am hoping, (though with their history with live action, not counting on) that the trailer is just trying to say, "see? we aren't going the immature anime' style with these characters any longer!" Hopefully that over, "see? we are sucking all the possibility for enjoyment out of our TV properties, just like we did with our films!"
Y'know... writing that all out... with DC's track-record with live action, I think I'll take back my 'Like' on the original trailer.
