Looks like the Mockingbird/Hunter spinoff of Agents of SHIELD got picked up.  Title is Marvel's Most Wanted.

Sounds good.  Wonder if it will be a mid-season start or if it has to wait til Fall 2016?  Since it says, "at this time, ABC has not made any decisions regarding premiere date or a path of introduction," it could be either.

This is old news, but I missed it the first time around: Neil Cross wants to revive Sapphire and Steel.

If you haven't seen it, it's great.  It's similar to Doctor Who except the heroes don't travel through time... at least not on purpose.  Time travel IS a big part of the show, but the premise is that ancient, unknowable forces are trying to work their way into our world using weak points in time.  They utilize anachronisms in order to do so (doctored photographs, a party where people pretend it's 50 years ago, an old nursery rhyme), messing with reality and time in the process.  However, though the show is technically sci-fi, it's really a ghost story show, often with dark endings where our heroes are able to save reality, but it doesn't necessarily mean things are alright.  If you have the chance, check it out.  The first story is a little overlong, but it gets progressively better and has some great leads.

I just hope Cross explores what I feel is the overarching theme of the series: humanity's sordid past coming back to bite them on the ass.

I'm sure the Cinema Snob already has it on order.

Collider:
Nickelodeon May Revive Classic 90s Shows Like ‘Rugrats’ and ‘Doug’
Quote from: ADAM CHITWOOD
Indeed, I predict we’re just starting to see the tip of the iceberg with regards to “The Jurassic World Effect.” That fourth Jurassic Park film made history at the box office, due in large part to the fact that those who were impressionable young ‘uns when the original Jurassic Park came out were now amped to refuel that nostalgia by witnessing a new entry in the long-dormant franchise. 90s kids are now some of our country’s biggest consumers, ranging in age from 25 to 35, and if Corporate America creates a product that feeds on the nostalgia of early millennials, they’ll likely see an uptick in revenue stream.

Which brings us back to Nick reviving its 90s programming. As corporate-driven as this may be, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t interested in seeing more Doug or Hey Arnold!, or even a new iteration of Kablam!. Heck I’d probably watch an entire channel devoted to playing old episodes of 90s cartoons and kids shows, but if creating new content based on old characters is the direction Nickelodeon wants to take, I’ll be curious to see how it pans out.
