Killing both Community AND Revolution... and Revolution was getting really good too!
So did Revolution leapfrog over the time when it was even slightly good? Cuz the show I was forced to watch for half a season was a festering pile of garbage from the word jump.
You must have watched the first half of season 1.
Season 1, part 1 was "Oh come on. We KNOW you can do better than this!!" about maybe a 2-3 on a scale of 1-10.
Season 1, part 2 was "Okay Kripke, you're getting closer... but not quite" on a sliding growth as the season progressed steadily from 3 to about a 5-6 on a scale of 1-10
Season 2 started off at an 8 or a 9 and has held steady around 9.5 recently... and I find myself saying "God this show is awesome" at times... and Giancarlo Esposito in the most recent episode has become even more brutal and cold than he was in Breaking Bad.
So yeah, the show JUMPED up in quality at the start of season 2. Every episode gets better and better... Mostly due to the addition of Ben Edlund and Rockne S O'bannon to the writing staff. (Particularly Edlund, who was Kripke's "story glue" on Supernatural)
Actually sad to see it go, despite its sorry-ass first season. (Season 2 has been so good, I actually bought season 1 on blu ray)
