I really enjoyed the first season of
Perception, because so far there's been no egregious bullshit in their use of 'brain activity' as the source or explanation of the problems for which the FBI agent (a very pretty adult Rachel Leigh Cook) is active and needs the help of a neuroscientist (Eric McCormack, an old teacher and crush (

) of hers [I thought he looked like a good actor in 'Will and Grace', but since I can't stand sitcoms, I never was able to confirm that until this show, as I couldn't sit through more than a couple minutes of 'WaG' at any given time]).
I don't generally care for police procedural shows. But tuned in after hearing "neuroscientist" in its description. Some degree of reality in how the brain is portrayed may be a first for TV (obligatory plug: see my sig line for more info

). Oh, and from my more limited exposure to such disorders, McCormack appears to do a pretty fair job of portraying a generally high functioning schizophrenic, and it is not used as comic relief (as such things have seemed to be in the past on TV), but as another layer to the difficulties faced by that character.
