Yeah, if I was one of them, this: "Netflix currently wants to age up Aang, Zuko, Katara and Sokka. They also want to separate the live-action series from the animated one by creating a darker, mature tone with more romance, sex, and blood. DiMartino and Konietzko disagreed and remained adamant that the show remain aimed at kids." would be a deal-breaker for me.

I am curious why creators approaching ANY studio don't have specifics like their intents written into the contracts for the productions?  That way places like Netflix couldn't fuck with the productions after they had the good PR of having "the original creators return!" publicity!

If you have a list of demands up front no one is going to work with you on big budget shows. I’m assuming they felt they could negotiate and convince the production company to see it their way once they signed a deal. Netflix probably didn’t lead with their demands either.

Wouldn't it actually be cheaper to make the show like the games? Since they're more about atmosphere than lots of action.

It does. Hopefully they end up with a final movie, or some such

Uuugh. Not since the cancellation of MST3K have I felt a show's cancellation so hard.

Meanwhile, Adult Swim's Twitter says:

We also want more Venture Bros. and have been working with Jackson and Doc to find another way to continue the Venture Bros. story.

Hopefully that means a movie or two. Maybe it even means HBO Now gets it or something, since they seem intent on picking up all the non-Star Wars/Disney content that I crave, but not running on Fire Sticks.
