So...did the studio just forget that this is supposed to be a horror franchise? I know they're blockbusters and action oriented. And kids love them because dinosaurs are cool. But people DIE in them! Horrifically screaming while getting eaten alive. I really don't think this kids show is going to have the balls to have child characters be killed. But without that it's so neutered the dinosaurs aren't a real threat.

This isn't even the first attempt to make a Jurassic Park cartoon.  There was an attempt in the 90s, which is probably where the toyline comes from.  You can still find concept art for the cancelled show if you know where to look.

Yeah, the underlying theme of Jurassic Park is it's hubris to try to attempt Jurassic Park, and people will fail, but there's no family-friendly (Or franchise-friendly) way to turn that into a TV show or video game. But the temptation to make money is too strong, so they keep trying. Which is also the message of Jurassic Park.
