Hoo-boy.  This could be bad.  I would LOVE to be wrong and the idea of Shinichirō Watanabe as consultant makes me a little hopeful, but this is very easy to get done wrong.  Frankly, if they were super married to it, I would prefer it as a quasi-anthology with different directors tackling different genres each episode but I have serious doubts of it being anything worth watching.  I mean, if you look at Christopher Yost's writing credits, the only really good one is Thor: Ragnarok and I'd credit most of the success of that to Taiki Waititi.

Yeah, not SUPER hopeful, but I'd love to be surprised. Maybe if they can get Yoko Kanno on the music. Music is a HUGE part of what makes Bebop work.

The animation looks a little weak, sadly.  Otherwise, it doesn't look too bad.

The upcoming Tigtone looks like standard Adult Swim fare. It'll either be really great or really stupid or (best case) a wonderful hybrid of both. They had a pilot about a year ago that showed a lot of promise. But I'm bringing it to your attention to point out a voice that plays at the 25 second mark, belonging to the 2-headed king/queen...

From what I've seen so far, this seems very watered down. Shame, Watership Down is one of my all-time favorite books. Seeing things from a rabbit's point of view really drives home the brutality that these "cute bunnies" go through. The movie captured the feel of the book pretty well. It was just too short, and had to truncate or completely remove certain parts. The most notable being the stories about Elil-Hrair-Ra, which, other than the intro, are completely missing

There's actually another TV version of it, made in 1999. I've never seen it so I can't comment.

Hey look!  The A.V. Club has an article about a show I worked on. They speak pretty highly of it.  The show is called You and it’s on Netflix now. There are some spoilers in this article, if you care about that.

The lead was a really nice guy, and he hated playing such a horrible person. It gave him a lot of mental stress. He was nice to the point where he actually knew my name and would say hi to me in the morning. To put that into context, he’s the only television actor I’ve worked with who has learned my name, and I’ve worked with a bunch of fairly nice people.
