I've found that you can't beat either 70s-80s love songs or the love songs of the the War Era.

Pak and I had "I've Got A Crush On You" played at our wedding. Gets us every time we hear it now.   :)

The Gershwin tune or that 80's song by The Jets?
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere.
Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

  Gershwin.

We had it sung at our wedding and then we put a Sinatra CD on the PA for our reception and it had his version on it as well.

Yeah, I'm aware his band had to do all sorts of musical aerobics to make him sound on tune (especially as he got older), but I think his style/voice was -amazing-.

I just like that style of music i guess.

I forget the guys name at the moment but the lounge singer from deep space nine is seriously one of my favorites.  I know that is REALLY REALLY geeky, but i just like the way he sings a lot of those songs.

You guys have forgotten my fave love song, the classic Jimmy Buffet tearjerker, "Why don't we get drunk and screw."

In all seriousness, I probably like "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (which is just as lame as the above) and "I'll Be There For You" (Bon Jovi, not friends).

I used to like Unchained Melody but it reminds me of a shirtless Patrick Swayze and instead of "love" it makes me think "nauseous."

Oh, God.  You just reminded ME of that movie.  Okay, strike up the band...one, two, three, FOUR!

:rimshot:

("I'm Henry the Eighth," as performed by Herman's Hermits...or Patrick Swayze.  Both are equally nauseating)
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

i'm a sucker for all the classics.  chances are,the way you look tonight, etc etc.  as you know by know i DJ weddings, etc, and i always gravitate towards the old, classic slow tracks.

but i have to admit i love lonestar-amazed, and some other "modern" love songs too.
