New .sync Files and Ripping a DVD
« on: April 11, 2011, 12:52:51 PM »
Not Sure if this is even Necessary as the New Rifftrax Player seems to be pretty much all I need as My Computer is The only thing Used to To watch TV and movies on my TV, but Is it possible to use it to Make the Ripping of a DVD and Adding the Commentary a lot easier?

If you want us to get sued for copyright infringement and shut down for good, sure!

I meant the Use the sync file, not the Player.

I would not like for rifftrax to get sued

If this is an Inappropriate question I apologizes, there have been other discussions about creating pre-synced DVD before

Were you talking about re-authoring?  Since that is discussed openly here that would probably be OK?

If you re-author your DVDs you could use the information in the .sync file to help line up the rifftrax with the DVD audio, if you cut the number of seconds listed for the riffdelay from the start of the rifftrax then added silence for the number of seconds listed for the riffstart value, the resulting mp3 should line up with the DVD audio pretty close.
