I can say one thing; I have little to no interest in seeing this in 3D.  Based on the trailers the visuals look nice and sharp and there's plenty of depth already in the cinematography.  I don't want it made blurry, muddy or darker by a 3D projection.  It's a horror film, and at almost any given moment in the trailer the frame is about 60% black.  I don't want to lose any detail in the darker tones due to light loss from the projection or glasses.  Though it does look like it'd be awesome in imax.  I wonder if there will be any imax film projections, or if it will all be digital.  Very excited for the film, but see little need to view it in 3D.

Has the full plot for this been leaked yet? I want to know the story out of curiosity, but I don't want to see the movie.

Still secret as far as I can tell.  Once screener copies go out to critics I'm sure it will get out.

From all the trailers I've watched here is my current guess at the plot (spoilered for those that don't even want to think about the plot):

People find clues to the location of some alien planet hidden around the Earth long ago.

They build the ship Prometheus and go there.

They land and find out it is a trap, their landing on the planet launches the ship that the eggs were on in Alien.  Have to assume it was a long time setup, waiting for humans to develop long range space travel, maybe that's how the aliens spread around the galaxy.

The survivors of the Prometheus go after the ship or sabotage it or do something that makes it crash on the planet from Alien/Aliens.

The set up the warning beacon that lures in the Nostromo decades later.

MTV spoke with Fox studio chief Tom Rothman at CinemaCon this week, where he declared that regardless of the rating Prometheus is given, the studio will not cut a single frame.

"The rating board has not opened yet and it will go in to the board soon. This I can tell you and I can tell all the fans, not one frame will be cut. The movie will be what it should be. We will not cut a frame of the film. We will stand behind it 100 percent and if that means it's an R, then so be it, because not an ounce, not a percentage are we going to compromise the film."
